Arrived at this site in transit to main destination and in poor weather, so did not experience things at their best. However it did seem to have the potential t... read more Arrived at this site in transit to main destination and in poor weather, so did not experience things at their best. However it did seem to have the potential to be a fairly unique camping experience. Access is about 10km from the main highway up a winding road that would have been picturesque in other circumstances. The site itself is in splendid isolation on a hill top with plenty trees and nature all around. The site seems very spacious indeed through there were few guests when we arrived ?due to weather). The basic facilities are very good with electricity 2 pin) and well kept toilet block, nice restaurant and small shop but with very limited supplies. Wi-fi smart phone coverage was hit and miss. There seems to be some horse riding on-site but it was not obviously advertised. There seems to be a lot of woodland walks outside the site where cattle and donkeys roam free. More information would have been helpful on our arrival. It is hard to give a definitive judgement on the site based on our limited experience but is promising and worth another visit.

(I go with a dog and the campsite is great for him).
