Possibly the best sri lanka restaurant in the city. forget their colombo kricket district restaurants. that is, hands down, the most brilliant, authentic and tailored cooking restaurant in sri lanka. always.

It is our last dinner in sri lanka and we are glad that we found this place! great service, good food. loved the prawn curry and huhn kottu! must try if you are in mount lavinia! highly recommended!

Kanchi's food is scrumptious, delicious, delectable, luscious, great tasting, much more than tasty, really appetizing, lip-smacking; the kind of food to have you licking your lips in anticipation. This is the word everyone wants to hear when bringing his food to the table.

I was staying in Colombo for 5 days and wanted to eat real, pure srilankan food. Was suggested to visit Kanchi’s and boy am I happy to had done it. The food is simply put, magnificent. Kanchi has the ability to creat delicious dishes from simple ingredients. I am vegan so he modified his specialties but of course, they tasted amazing. The place is small and the atmosphere is very cosy and friendly cos Kanchi is such a nice, kind and fun to talk to person. I ate there every day and I can’t wait to visit him again when back in Colombo.
