Super friendly staff, lovely ambience outside in t... read more Initially we despaired of finding a decent cafe in Deggendorf but then we found Cafe Monokel and what a find! Super friendly staff, lovely ambience outside in the square and really good coffee and excellent apple cake. It was so relaxing on a hot day in the middle of a long journey. I do not expect to be back (unfortunately) but if you are there, head for Monokel

Café Monokel is located in a small courtyard in the city centre and is a s... read more I was invited to breakfast with the family and it was an extremely pleasant surprise. Café Monokel is located in a small courtyard in the city centre and is a small pearl of Deggendorf. The interior design has a beautiful Art Nuveau Touch with stylish curved lamps. The bar, on the other hand, looks modern and well maintained, the staff was friendly. Tables with motivating spells are hanging everywhere that make you sneak. Definitely worth a visit!
