BUT…we were very pl... read more A friend told us we should try Buzz's Lighthouse. We had passed it many times walking and biking and from the outside it did not call us in. BUT…we were very pleasantly surprised when we had lunch there. Fantastic view of the bay. Very good food. Very nice service. We will definitely go back.

I don't think $10 for a sandwich is inexpensive. Buzz's is a real down-to-earth place on the Vanderbilt Lagoon, just steps from the Ritz and Vanderbilt Beach, a real gem. The food is standard, the view peacefu... read more Buzz's is a real down-to-earth place on the Vanderbilt Lagoon, just steps from the Ritz and Vanderbilt Beach, a real gem. The food is standard, the view peaceful. This is a small local place for having a beer and a basket of fries. The menu is limited and it isn't fine dining; go watch the boats and relax there. Try to get a table on the lagoon, outside. Inside is a bit dark and crowded. It is romantic at night. TIP: No sunsets here; the deck faces East to the lagoon. Go to Vanderbilt Beach for the sunset, and then walk across the street to Buzz's Lighthouse for a drink/snack.
