What SylRickTraveler likes about Kwang Tung Restaurant:
Located on Main Street right after the church. It is a nondescript white building but the sign is noticeable from the road. There was one woman doing all the cooking and I think her son was helping out as it was busy the night we were there. The Hawaii Three-0 was delicous and plentiful. The garlic chicken wings and fried rice were also very good. The wings were small cut so the wings and tips were seperate but there... View all feedback. What wolfbearj doesn't like about Kwang Tung Restaurant:
We tried this restaurant because there weren’t many options on Fogo Island. The food was nice and hot but we were used to chow mein having noodles. Our dish did not. It had mostly cabbage and a tiny bit of carrots and celery. There was only about 5 thin pieces of pork. It wasn’t that flavourful and not very filling. We were disappointed. read moreKwang Tung Restaurant on Fogo Island offers healthy stir fry dishes at a reasonable price, despite some drawbacks. The meals feature fresh vegetables, but lack traditional Chinese elements like rice. While the food is good, the environment may not be appealing. Customers report experiencing long waits, issues with payment, and inconsistencies between expectations and what is provided. The atmosphere is simple and unassuming, but the food surprises with its quality and taste. The owner also serves as the cook, adding a personal touch to each meal. For an offbeat dining experience with flavorful Canadian-style Chinese food, Kwang Tung is worth a visit.
