While the SS will not knock off your socks, they are consistent with their food. Desserts leave much to be desired. We ordered to share the chocolate silk, and when it was served it was clear about a while. The filling was shrinking and separated from the crust. The lower crust was literally the texture of the cardboard. They needed a knife to cut it through. You hardly get the money for the price.

Went with 3 friends on Labor Day weekend (Sunday night). We all live in different towns, and Dedham is central, so it's great that Summer Shack takes reservations. The weekend bartender is so friendly and funny. When we had a friend running late, the hostess was really accommodating to us being seated 30 minutes later than our original reservation. Our server was fine. Seemed a little uneducated about the menu (didn't know if the Sea Bass was Chilean, Mediterranean or something else). Not a big deal though. Whatever it was, the sea bass was terrific!
