A must-stop shop for a sweet ice cream treat! We enjoyed a twist cone and an M&M with hot five malt. Delicious! There is almost always a line and you need cash, but who doesn't love a local ice cream spot? There is off-street parking, but it is a fairly small lot. They are seasonal so check for hours!
My mom has been to The Whippy Dip since she was a kid and so I had to try it! It's the cutest old fashioned walk-up ice cream shop! They serve everything from hot dogs to milkshakes! Cannot go wrong.
This restaurant has a charming atmosphere with a sense of nostalgia. The soft serve ice cream was delicious, and I bet the other ice cream desserts are just as good. However, I'm not entirely convinced about the food options.
When in the area in the supper this place is a staple for Decorah. Wait in line for the ice cream you won't regret it. Its such an old timey nostalgic feel here. I suggest walking on the path to enjoy
The Whippy Dip is a most stop for my family when we are back in NE IA during the summer. My kids even ask to go to Whippy Dip. Very affordable and never disappoints
