What Thomas Lilly (Tom) doesn't like about Whit's End 48:
My family and I (myself, my fiancee, and our two boys, 11 and 5) went Friday night and ordered the buffet. The waitress never informed us of the price until we got the check. The food was soggy and barely warm. The coleslaw looked like it was about to go bad. Our ticket was $62.20 after our waitress claimed she didn't charge us for the 5 yr old not eating. They are charging $15.99 a person for a buffet that is clearl... View all feedback. What Pete Ann-Kathrin likes about Whit's End 48:
Nice clean restaurant. Waitress was fast, friendly, and attentive. My wife enjoyed her half slab of ribs. They were juicy and tender. I had the honey Dijon chicken sandwich. It was tasty and filling. My friend had the ribeye and shrimp plate. He enjoyed his steak and said the shrimp was hot and crispy. View all feedback.

read moreWitts End restaurant in Taylorville has received mixed reviews from customers recently. Some have complained about the subpar quality of the buffet, with soggy and barely warm food, and lack of transparency in pricing. Others have praised the friendly service, cleanliness, and delicious dishes such as ribs, chicken sandwiches, and Philly beef. The restaurant also offers a Sunday buffet with good noodles and seafood on Fridays. While there have been reports of inattentive servers and forgetful staff, many diners appreciate the home-cooked meals and comfortable atmosphere at Witts End.
The chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo costs $4.85.
We dine at this restaurant at least 2 or 3 times a month, which is quite frequent for us since we don't eat out often.
We enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner at this restaurant. The lean sirloin had a delicious flavor and the house salad was larger than expected.
