Truman Tavern - Decatur

The food was incredible, and the service was excellent. The location is fantastic as well. My only complaint is that the music was way too loud. Overall, it was a really wonderful experience, and we will definitely return.

The only drawback was that the music was a bit too loud for our liking, but we managed to hear each other by speaking a bit louder. When the NBA Finals came on, the volume was increased significantly. It remained loud even during commercials, which was rather distracting. We could only hear the person directly next to us at the table, so I asked the waitress if they could lower the volume. She informed me that she had already received requests to do so, but the manager preferred it to stay that way. While those at the bar were focused on the game, no one at the dining tables was really watching. Ultimately, we decided to go to another bar instead of ordering a third round there. However, this was my only negative experience, and everything else was great. We will definitely return, and I highly recommend the Truman!

I returned to this restaurant after having such a great time at my graduation lunch, and it didn't disappoint! The food is still fantastic. The service was a bit slow, but that wasn't a problem since we were enjoying the company of good friends.

Service was slow (But courteous). It was a holiday weekend. Party of 7. They turned down the music when we asked. Food was good but they messed up one order. May go back for a burger.

1 hour and 1 minute until the food hit our table after ordering at noon on Saturday for lunch. Hugely disappointing. When the food finally got there , it wasn't good. Staff was trying to work hard, but the kitchen was a disaster. Big bummer.
