We had a pleasant evening with good food and service, but found the menu prices to be quite steep for what we received. For appetizers, we particularly loved the coffee-coated venison, which was incredibly tender, and the pasta pockets filled with butternut squash. The cocktails were a highlight as well, with a great variety that were all delicious. Our main courses were enjoyable, but I wouldn’t describe them as exc... View all feedback.
What Emily C doesn't like about The Deer And The Dove:
We really wanted to love this place. However, it was a grand disappointment. I 'm leaving two stars only because the hostess was great, and our server was decent. The food left a lot to be desired though. The $8 housemade soft rolls taste as if they are either store-bought or made days in advance and reheated. They were not soft, fluffy or delicious. Literally just bread. After an hour wait for our entrees, everyone... View all feedback.
This is one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. The food was delicious and the service was great.
Never fails to be an impressive date spot. The food and drinks are always amazing. One thing to note though is to have a reservation, if you don't you will sit at the bar even if tables look available.Parking: There is a parking lot down the street going toward the library but this is always full so we parked in the parking deck by the old DeVry.
Wow, there's not many restaurants with a menu like this. If you like food rusts not boring but delicious, it's a must. I love having the plates explained as to how they were cooked and the drinks were exceptional.
In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in GA. The staff was so friendly. Our waitress recommended the Venison and it was a highlight.Overall the menu is very unique with offerings such as Quail, Pheasant, etc.No complaints all the dishes were excellent.Standouts we’re the venison, scallops, and the plum cake. Would definitely visit again to try some of the other dishes.Cannot judge the drink menu that well, (only ordered one drink) but the cocktail I got, which was the Italian Sour was tasty.
Enjoyed a lovely summer meal on the patio. summer vegetable plate with sea beans was a wonderful complement to the rich whipped foie gras with grilled bread, white truffles, begonia leaves, and peach jelly. Speaking of rich and wonderful the bone marrow and snails in a demi glace sauce with capers and shave garlic over focaccia bread is worth finding parking in Decatur Square. Wine menu features Oregon and Italian reds, whites and rose. House craft cocktail are refreshing and original.
