Grew up in the area. I guess if you don’t know what it is, it’s surprising however 30+ years ago my dad would bring me as a child when we were in town at the print company nearby and it was always a special treat we had (I’m certain you couldn’t eat here regularly). He has since passed and now whenever I am in the area I bring my kids and continue the tradition. We love the burgers. They’re definitely unique. But the... View all feedback.

I had no idea a burger could be this bad. I understand that it was created during the depression, but why would you want to eat this mushy nasty burger when the plain bun is 100 times more appealing. The texture is fried mush. Reminded me of a veggie burger from the 90’s. Absolutely disgusting. I couldn’t even finish it.When McDonalds has your burger beat you are clearly in the wrong business. View all feedback.
Haven't had a CF Penn burger since 1991, that was in Cullman. Cullman location is closed but this one brought back good magnifies and the food was spot on. It isn't an Angus burger but it was just what I expected, fries were crispy and hot. Service was great and friendly.
Legendary hamburger joint. I ordered one cheese burger and onion rings. Rings got lost in the shuffle.. so while they were cooking I ordered a second cheese burger. Excellent place and very reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff.
Penn 's has the best slug burgers around! The same since I was a kid. I always get mine crispy, all the way add ketsup and cayenne. If you 're looking for 100% beef burgers, this is not the place. They use a mix of beef and crumbled bread with asecret ingredient. If you like the unusual, you will love the burgers here!!!
On line pic shows the wall menu which shows hamburger 1.95. I ordered one which costed 3.65 with tax. I told her I wanted it all the way. Got with mustard and onion only. Patty was chispy at first then I thought the same thing a lady said in her post,it waslike eating cream potatoes. Their recipe says they use day old bread crumbs. That's fine but put some meat with the bread. Rateda 2
Very good experience. We were in the area on other business and decided to try a local eatery. The service was great, everyone seemed very nice. Food was ready quick, and everything was delicious. This was our first experience with this kind of burgerand we both enjoyed it immensely! Will definitely revisit in the future!
