I am not from Atlanta, and based on reviews and ratings we were not planning to go there. But the ratings do not seem correct. The food was much better than expected. We really enjoyed our meal. The ambience was not the best, but it didn't matter to us as long as the food and price were good. I have attached a photo of the chole bhature and ragda patties for reference. View all feedback.
What Wandering Guy doesn't like about Gokul Sweets Church St:
This is not my usual hangout spot, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it disappointed me in every way possible and I will not be returning. The staff, especially the pani puri women and the Paan guy, were rude. Here are the items I tried and their ratings: Vada Pav 8/10, Masala Dosa 8/10, Dahi Puri 8/10, Gokul Special Chat 5/10, Calcutta Paan 5/10, Pani Puri 9/10, Jalebi 5/10 (not completely fried). Delicious food. Soo many options to choose from! They have all kinds of traditional Indian sweets, snacks and pastries.Food: 5/5
We eat milkshake but the milkshak completely spoiled and taste was very bad and we order the faloda but the cashier didn't refunds back of the milk shak
This place holds flashback value to visiting such sweet shops in India. The layout, the fragrance of fresh food and sweets, the quality and taste… everything reminds me of my growing up years. Days when we would take small change in pocket money from grandparents to get our most desired sweets and eat to our hearts content… today I visit Gokul and take my kids along to kindle their own discoveries of eating Indian sweets. Gokul does it best!

Total waste of money!!!!Long waiting holding food for the table to get cleaned. Ordered samosa chat and it was like chole dip in a cold red chilly watery gravy. Uncooked samosa, and it was like reheated. Don’t go if you expect Indian food. Total worthless.?????
