Zahr's Mediterranean Cuisine - Dearborn

I’m really excited that we finally have an excellent dining option in this part of Dearborn. We’ve had lunch here twice, and each time has been a delightful experience. While it’s true that you can grab a shawarma sandwich at a bakery for just $4, the $9.99 lunch special here features a sandwich that’s twice the size and comes with two generous sides. So far, we've enjoyed the rice (which was delicious), the fattoush salad (fresh and hearty), and the lentil soup, which I believe is the best in Dearborn. We also tried the hummus topped with shawarma, and it was outstanding—smooth and flavorful, paired with chicken shawarma and served with two generous sides. The lunch buffet looked really tempting, but I’m trying to avoid overeating right now, and with so many fresh options, I know I would end up treating myself too much.

The website shows the buffet price as $10.99, but I ended up paying $12.99 due to an added service fee. I didn’t leave a tip because I was anticipating the cost to be $9.99—my apologies to the staff for that. The food was tasty, but it would have been even better if they had a way to keep it hot.

I went to this restaurant for takeout around 4:30 PM, which turned out to be a great time to get freshly made food. The cashier was very friendly and took my order for the Zahr's Combo for Two. The food was incredibly fresh and was ready in just 15 minutes. The falafel was fantastic—crispy and full of flavor. The fattoush salad had the best dressing too. My daughter really enjoyed the kibbee. I can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu!

The food is so good. Authentic fresh and so delicious. Falafel on point. Mixed grill so good. Fast service and friendly.

We stopped in for lunch. The buffet looked good, but we opted to order from the menu. The portion size was large and food was good. Depending on the amount of time you have the buffet would definitely be faster. It is located in a strip mall with other shops. There is a large parking lot, but at lunch can get busy. You can easily accessible the area from Greenfield road.
