I rated the service and a... read more Moreover, I must mention that the takeout experience here is nowhere near as good as dining in; it’s clear that corners are being cut. I rated the service and atmosphere one star after a frustrating phone call when I requested extra onion chips. The young lady on the line asked me to call back and press 2 instead of transferring me directly. I explained that I had already done that and had been routed to her from a general call center. Eventually, she transferred me, but I was disconnected. I decided to forgo the extra onion chips and just accept the normal amount, but they didn't even provide that. On a side note, I’m grateful I’m not allergic to shellfish; I found a shrimp tail in my rice. I hope the management takes note of this review.

Rafael the cook was awesome, and the food was delicious. We were happy to have him as a cook as we watched another cook by us struggle with the food he was cooking and had to start over with the chicken rice. We were praying we did not get him. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, and over 45 minutes before the food got started. Our reservations were for 4 and we went back at 4:15 and the cook came out around 5:10. The prices were VERY HIGH and ridiculous. We came from Lansing, MI and we have a Hibachi please that the filet mignon went up to 26.00 from 23.00. The prices you have on the menu, we will not be returning. $38.00 for a little steak which was cooked amazingly, but the service was not great at all. The cook was very entertaining and took care of everyone's needs. Please train your staff in good customer service, smiling, being more friendly and checking to see if anyone needs anything during the visit. One guy at the table waited an hour for his drink and no apologizes for forgetting it. That's how long we had seen the waitress and our table. REAL MEAN PERSON NO PERSONALITY WHATSOEVER. It just looked like a bunch of confusion in the restaurant that was full. NO, I will not recommend Benihana at this time. This was the worst experience of all times. Thank you.

The food steak and chicken w/ shrimp both dinners came out cold we got our meals before soup and salads had to remind them they forgot... the salad was stale on... read more The food steak and chicken w/ shrimp both dinners came out cold we got our meals before soup and salads had to remind them they forgot... the salad was stale only thing decent was the soup I brought my wife for her birthday and was highly disappointed and I have ate at many different locations keep in mind while boxing my food up I found a hair in my rice but was already over disappointment so I keep it to my self won't be eating any of the left overs pure disgust words can't even describe and we eat out often always tip good no matter what the cost but this was a pure waste of money should have drop to Farmington hills location per usual for better meal and service someone needs to get control off this place asap

Although we had placed our orders and received soup and salad, we didn’t get anything else for a long time. Our server didn't give us any updates until about an hour after we were seated. Unfortunately, one member of our group became overheated and fainted, which forced us to leave. We have no idea how long it took for the chef to begin cooking for the other guests at the table.
