SO NOISY on the 2nd floor! It's 7 AM on a Sunday morning and housekeeping is vacuuming in the hall, so CAPS are justified. Walls are paper thin. Casino is 24 hrs so very noisy from talking in the hallway also showers, bathrooms and toilets in otherrooms. Deceptive advertising. Management not willing to discuss or communicate at all. The staff attitude is snobby, better than you, you're wasting our time, things are going to be what we say, policy is policy and screw you! A laugh in you're face type attitude. This place needs a lot of help with some customer service minded staff that has even a tiny bit of conflict resolution ability. They may be good when there is no problem but they suck at dealing with the smallest conflict. To the point of the manager is too busy and staff has no authority to do anything. Of thousands of hotel stays this is actually the worst ever hotel experience I have had. It's obvious they don't care about repeat business.
Online it says dog and pet friendly but it isn't they will tell you that it isn't pet friendly and that online it says no pets and charge your card $250 so if you are trying to go somewhere and have your fur baby with you I don't recommend this place at all
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Checked in and was given an extremely dirty room. There is no way this room was cleaned let alone sanitized.
We were booked for two nights and it was a nightmare start to finish. First night we called to verify reservation. We arrived and they gave our rooms away they went and cleaned 2 rooms (still had bugs in bathrooms) then made us move the second nights. Housekeeping had already walked out and desk staff was threatening to. Manager we visited with didn 't seem to care about staff or visitors will not return
Our family has been staying at the Gulch every Memorial weekend for the last 20 years. We love the more casual atmosphere and seeing the same employees year after year, knowing their names and having them remember ours. We would travel from many states to all meet at the Gulch, to be together that one time per year. Several of us travel with our dogs. There was an extra charge for pets and the rooms were inspected before the person could check out and it was handled very efficiently. Now that the new owners took over, they changed the policy, NO PETS ALLOWED. The website and travel websites still list it as pet friendly but it is not. So we took our business elsewhere and will all move to a different location if this does not change. In this day and age where even restaurants welcome pets, why would you change something that people depend on? Plus there is no restaurant, no gaming, the bar only takes cash no credit cards , no internet, no tv in the bar to watch the playoffs.
