It was a fairly slow day so as you can imagine the service was nothing short of excellent. We both ordered the club sandwich and quite frankly it was much more food than we could consume and probably in my opinion one of the best club sandwiches I've ever had. The menu pricing was extremely fair and I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.

I have done a couple of reviews on Shellys which have all been good .This is a rural restaurant in DeRuyter New York 1678 Cortland street .By the way the town d... read more I have done a couple of reviews on Shellys which have all been good .This is a rural restaurant in DeRuyter New York 1678 Cortland street .By the way the town does not have tons of street. Shellys was always had a Wednesday night wing night for awhile now , which of course I have review and very good .But the new story is Tuesday night Taco night. We were invited to our first one by my step daughter and boyfriend and it was great . But sometimes I hold back on a review when my first experience is so over the top , I am well know in area as I have been a chef and restaurant owner over fifty years so I tend to be careful on my reviews . Well we have been to Shellys like three or four time for tacos the funny things tacos are not my favorite But they have 2.00 dollar's tacos and a Margarita for 2.00 and of course its not huge but its two dollars. The service is always first class in a very informal atmosphere jeans are ok tons of off street parking The filling change some but always seem to have shrimp, steak ,chicken, pulled pork and few more that change nightly extra are a small up charge sour cream, etc. But remember they are two dollars ! The other menu is also available,plus some other menu items . Come home to the country and join us we get there at 5;30 its farm country. PS. Photos next week I promise Chef w travel

Yumm... read more We stumbled upon Shelly's while out for a drive. What a gem! Huge menu hard to decide! BEST hamburger, cooked to perfection! Homemade soup was dee licious! Yummy Reuben sandwich! Waitress, Autumn, was super friendly, informative, attentive. Hard tobelieve such a great restaurant would exist in the small town of DeRuyter. Highly recommend!
