However, I really wanted to cheer him up and decided... read more My partner had a quite difficult time the past few months and said he did not want to celebrate Valentines. However, I really wanted to cheer him up and decided to book a surprise dinner at Vanitas. I was assured both on the phone and by email that we would get the best table with a good view I even mentioned that it was very important to me for everything to be extra special because it was also an early 3 years anniversary dinner for us. When we arrived everybody else was sat outside with music, candles and a great view. We were the only people asked to sit inside no candles, no view, no music, no atmosphere or ambiance at all. Bright lights and sounds of pans and pots coming from the kitchen was that supposed to be the ‘romantic’ part? When I complained that I was promised something very different the hostess replied that as soon as a table outside is free they will move us. We decided to wait and meanwhile a few other people arrived at the restaurant. As soon as we saw a table outside getting free we asked the waiter to move us there. He said no problem and to give him 5 minutes but never actually came back to us. Meanwhile another hostess offered the free table to a couple next to us who arrived much later AFTER us. When I approached her she seemed annoyed and said it was because the other people had paid a deposit and we did not. She got very defensive and said she can prove it to me the thing is I would have happily paid any deposit they expected no matter the amount but it was never said to me before!!! She was so rude and unapologetic she actually made me cry. Needless to say all of that completely ruined our mood and night and we decided to leave. We paid for the 2 sips of still water we had whilst waiting nobody even offered to remove it from the bill which is absolutely ridiculous. When we got up and started leaving, both hostesses just looked at us extremely disinterested and did not even acknowledge us or said goodbye to us at the exit. They just did not care at all for some reason and I really don’t want to think that the reason was being racist but it is what it is. Honestly this was the worst ‘customer service’ I have ever seen in my life, I felt extremely humiliated by that experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone on a regular day not to mention a special occasion. Our Valentine’s Day was ruined and the worst thing is nobody even cared. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

However, when it comes t... read more Honestly, the vibes here are just “it”. This place is decent in terms of the atmosphere, its top notch. The service was quite good too. However, when it comes to food, horrible was the word to describe it. Hence why I NEVER came back. Its a one time experience and I wouldn’t recommend if you’re coming to have a delicious dinner. Overall , 6/10 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
