‪the Deli By Yumtingz‬ - دبي

It was during Eti Salat Beach Canteen that I met Yumtingz. I must admit that during such events it is very difficult to keep the quality and to manage the guests in the right and correct manner due to the number. When I saw the management was not bad at all and the quality of the burger was intriguing, I decided to pay a visit to them once again when they were in Emirates Golf Club. The burger was again as tasty and jucy as it has to be. It seems I will be folling this truck more for their burgers : It is not the best burger that I ate; but it is worth the value when you consider price-value ratio.

I love the traditional Vietnamese banh mi as it is close to my heart since my parents are from South East Asia. The banh mi served here is not authentic, of course, but it was not too bad. I got the tofu banh mi and the presentation of it was okay to look at. The cucumbers hanging out of the bun was a bit annoying as it kept falling out. It would have been better if it was cut into a long thin slice instead like how the cucumbers in the real banh mi sandwiches are like. The tofu was nice and firm but could have used more marinating on it as mine were a little plain. This food truck deserves a rating of 3.5/5. I ordered the tofu banh mi for 30DHS. The pricing of the dishes here was on average of what you would expect from a food truck. The service was good where the server was able to greet us warmly when we approached the truck. He was able to recommend popular dishes and was patient with us. The food was ready in about 10 minutes which was a little slow for the food truck world. The ambience of the food truck was eye catching where the outside was black in colour and the bright light from the inside made it easy to see. The interior of truck looked organized and clean.

We tried the beef burger (yummy though the meat was a wee bit dry) which comes with a slice of beetroot and very tasty cheddar-like cheese slice. The chicken burger was also good and juicy, and comes with a slice of pineapple.

Camel Burger was extremely good, I was super skeptical at first before trying a camel burger but I can safely say now that I hope all camel I try in the future tastes as good as this. Truffle fries were also a plus, the toppings really covered all the chips and the truffle flavor was present but not overwhelming. I can't say I enjoyed the burger bun though. All in all, would recommend and eat again.
