Jones the Grocer has served scrumptious dishes especially the English breakfast and their carrot cake. Unfortunately rating them at 2 stars due to an unpleasant visit today. Had ordered lunch, trying their Harissa Chicken, Seabass and Spicy Rooster burger. Stopped by Jones the grocer while strolling through the Dubai Mall shops. I wanted a moment of pause and quiet and I found myself very well. The waiters are friendly, kind, knowledgeable and fast and the foods are good and well presented. The furniture is well cared for, the tables well arranged and there is a sense of sympathy and harmony. The prices are good considering the quality of the food and the table service. It is therefore recommended to stop here when you are in the Mall, to relax and recover energy.
Amazing location, great interior. Experience was not good with crew. It was not busy inside so no waiting time. Ordering took forever; delivery of food would be 15-20 min, took about 40. Waiter was passive and couldn’t suggest anything on the menu. Drinks were served after the food was delivered. Process felt very sluggish and had an opening day vibe (not an oiled machine). Items ordered were not available (seemed afterwards) and the overall experience came across quite ill managed. Food was OK. Place had the potential to be great.
