Interesting little stop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed and talked for a bit. Very patriotic and helping out their little hometown, selling memorabilia and arts. Coffee was good even though I'm not much on any fancy coffees. Service: Take out Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What an amazing stop! For starters, one of the locals noticed my military ball cap, and after finding out I was a veteran and even despite a little resistance and hesitation on my part, bought my coffee! And the coffee was GREAT. We really enjoyed talking with the owners about their previous cattle ranch experiences, and the ins and outs of riding airplanes and boats. Meaningful experiences and conversations like these are what makes travelling so much fun and life worthwhile. We'll definitely come back on our next trip through. To the owners: we wish you the best, promise to be lifelong customers, and thank you very much for your hospitality!
Stopped for breakfast and it was perfect. Felt like having breakfast with family. Learned a bit about the owners and the area. Marked it on our must stop places. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Twisted Treasure Cafe is one of my favorite places to get coffee in Dayville and I have greatly enjoyed this local spot for the last couple of years. A caramel or vanilla late is usually my go to, but they also have ice cream and sandwiches that are also quite delicious if your exploring nearby. I personally like to get a late with three shots of espresso and explore the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil beds. I always stop and say hello. The owners are very friendly and treat everyone like family. I especially appreciate their deep knowledge of the area and their recommendations on spots to explore. They gave me a preview of the room they will be making available to travelers. I can't say enough good things about this local business and treasure! : Kid-friendliness: There is food and ice cream available for kids. Local kids are often running in and out of the cafe. Very kid friendly place. Parking: Parking is always available when I visit. Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is accessible to those in a wheel chair
My wife and I stopped in just before Halloween and enjoyed lattes and special made sandwiches and some great conversation. She told us about the challenges of cattle ranching but also we talked about big city politics vs rural politics. Very interesting and insightful. The barista/owner was a moxie lady with sidearm. Her husband was working at the back counter and the two of them together made a wonderful couple! Meal type: Brunch
Had an excellent BLT and Burger. Great price and friendly service, worth a stop! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
