Another filet mignon, the special, consisted of two quarter size filets wrapped in bacon. (Rather small). So all this by saying the experience wasn't what I'd been used to.

By far, the best steak we have had since moving to the Dayton area. The service and atmosphere were lovely as well. Highly recommend!!

I had the French dip, my man had the trout. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant so comfortable, dim lighting, great dinner music (young man at the piano), excellent drinks and eating. the bar is huge and can accommodate a large number of people. many thanks for giving us a great evening we will definitely come back!

I had ribbed in some amazing restaurants, but that was perhaps my new favorite. of course they will not get cheap meal, but every penny will be worth it.

I chose the clam bake from the special kitchen menu. a plate full of steamed mushes, mosquitoes, garnel, crawling claws, mais on the charcoal and kartoffels. there was a supplement of melted butter to go with it. that was delicious and I would order again. another article on the kitchen menu that was ordered was a waygu tomahawk steak, 32 ounces. I had a bite and it melted in my mouth. also the lambs were tasty and delicate. the pork chops were perfectly cooked and tasty. would like to return to the din.

Even at a time where we've seen many restaurants decline in their quality for various reasons, The Paragon is crushing it.The drinks are a 10/10, and their steaks are a 12/10. We got the filet and their bone-in ribeye, with onion straws and garlic mushrooms. I'm salivating thinking of it now.Yes it's expensive. But so worth it, just for an occasional fancy treat.

We celebrated my mother 's birthday there with a large party on May 20, 2017, and they were the only venue that truly wanted our business. The servers were incredible and anticipated our needs, even with a large party. We went again just last week, and we love that the menu has some new things, but we can still get the petite filet, the onion straws and the stewed tomatoes! The Paragon was my parents ' favorite 'steak place ' when I was a kid, and it 's even better as an adult.

Every dining experience Ihave had has made me so proud to say that I have served there. The consistancy of fine food and fine service still resinates strong here. STILL the best steak and quality sides. The specials are beyond tempting. I ordered the Halibut finished with bacon white wine caper sauce Fish was delicious! Brian had the pork chops! PERFECT! . A bonus to our evening was the service. Because I had previously worked there , I was familiar with some of the staff.. Clair, I've known for years and she still exhibits amazing professionalism and perfect skill in taking care of her guests All in all, The Paragon is an example of Classic Fine Dining that stands strong in the Dayton Area. No one made any reservations, but it normally is not super busy and getting in is not a problem. This time it was. We got there at 6:00-6:15 and were told there was a 90 minute wait. We attempted to call a different place and were going to leave after 30 minutes when suddenly they came up with a table. The food was great. I have been told they have the best lamb chops of any place. I had escargo for an starter, then a steak for dinner. The meals are very good, served promptly. They have a good wine list, the house wines are very nice. It is not inexpensive, with meals ranging from 20-35 dollars.

They would not seat us until our entire party had arrived, despite the heavy traffic. Once we were seated the server (Renee who was great) took our drink order. They then took our order which took a long time to get. From the time we had finally got to eat our food to the time we were asked to leave was 18min. Did I mention that no one was out of control and we were just given the desert menu? The reason we were asked to leave was because the manager had an 8pm reservation and it was now 8:15. The manager continued to walk by our table and asked us twice to hurry up and leave. I have never in my life been kicked out of any place. I feel that this experience was unacceptable and will cause me to tell everyone I know about this experience and never return to this place. Besides the food may be good but not worth going to again, besides the prices are high and you can expect to spend at least $50 per a person.
