First experience here at Merit Grill. I remember this building used to be a friend. Lately there have been a number of restaurants and was still not satisfied with them. I brought a colleague there and blow away the improvements they made inside. It was very elegant and the food was great. Mushroom soup was delicious. What User dislikes about Merit Grill:
Frankly, I was underwhelmed. OpenTable described this as Modern Latin influenced continental cuisine but no one at our table got a Latin-vibe from the food. It wasn 't bad, but it also wasn 't Latin. I brought my leftover Chipotle Pasta home and hit it with some Red Pepper when I reheated it, then it tasted Latin...and 5 times better. This was the second time our book club decided to meet at Merit Grill. Once again it was wonderful. In fact, we will be back next month!

We were traveling through Dayton, Ohio on a road trip and found this wonderful little place after hiking at Cox Arboretum. The owner and wait staff were very attentive and happy to help. The food was truly delicious and unique. I would definitely go back if in Dayton again.

Best food in town! Service is fast and friendly. They always go above and beyond! Haven't had any bad experiences, nor complaints. I would Highly recommend trying them!

Promptly greeted seated on a Friday night. They were expecting a party of 20, so we were glad to order promptly. They still have to work out how to present their bar beverages, as we always have to ask about rotating drafts wine offerings. The food, as usual, was pleasantly plated and very good; were also comped an appetizer as the servers were initially distracted by the large group coming in. Not necessary but welcome nevertheless. 2 drinks 2 entrees tip $49.00.
