I've been here for years. always enjoy keeping this when we visit the family in dayton. make sure they are here before 9:30 o'clock or they could wait 30 minutes to take a place. this place is very busy, very fast. always make sure to look at their specificities because they tend to highlight their seasonal offers. picture below: yoghurt parfait broccoli and cheese omelet with home fries (side order of the Hollandais... What User doesn't like about Golden Nugget Pancake House:
I truly hope the Golden Nugget reopens. But, here’s some advise which probably worth nothing. We stopped going to this restaurant about 5 years ago when the once wonderful place changed. The ingredients all changed which made the food horrible! One thing is they started using some kind of orange looking liquid (maybe Oleo) instead of butter! When we asked the server for real butter for our table she said they no long... View all feedback.
The food was amazing!! :D the line at first seemed really long but it moves very fast. Definitely recommend going!! Got the western omelette with the 3 pancakes with the Strawberry compote!! So good!
Love this place! The food is delicious and the coffee is great! Unfortunately, I can 't give this place 5 stars for two reasons. The first is the un-American sized drinkware. The coffee cups and water contain about 6 sips of liquid. This wouldn 't be an issue with an attentive waitstaff. However, we didn 't find that here. The sheer deliciousness of the pancakes and omelette make it a nonissue in my book. I 'd gladly eat their food whilst being parched in the future. The second noteworthy issue is their pricing. The Tuesday special boasts a Vegetarian Omelette for $8.75; simultaneously, the regular menu features the same item for $8.00. Similarly, if ordered alone, cinnamon pancakes are .10 more than the regular buttermilk pancakes. However, when I wanted to add them as a side to the omelet, they charged me .85 extra. When questioned, the waitress didn 't have any sensical rebuttal. Nonetheless, I will eat here several times in the future. I may even incorporate it into my monthly schedule. The food is beyond delicious.
This place is a good restaurant if you want basic old-school breakfast and lunch fare with a few more unusual items, but it has its flaws. While the seating is comfortable, the decor is tasteful, and the staff is courteous and responsible, there are items here which are not special orders, but that are not listed on the menu, and the Latkes are called German Potato Pancakes ... All-in-all a solid four stars, but I can not, in good conscience, rate it a five.

Great service, never an empty cup of coffee. There is usually a line to get in ,but well worth the wait . The food is delicious and portion sizes are big for the price.
