Elsa's - Dayton
Elsa's
Description
Elsa's restaurant presents a spectrum of dining experiences, with some patrons praising the lively atmosphere and friendly service, particularly highlighting the efficiency of staff like Samuel. However, many customers report dissatisfaction with food quality, citing greasy dishes and inadequate flavors. Complaints extend to unfriendly end-of-night staff behavior and a need for renovations in the establishment. While some enjoy the ambiance and complementary chips and salsa, others find the overall experience disappointing, suggesting a decline in food standards and insufficient service consistency. Overall, Elsa's may appeal for casual visits, but significant improvements are needed to enhance the dining experience.

If you’re not planning to try the infamous 'Bad Juan', then you might as well skip the place altogether. I was disappointed with the menu during my last visit, especially after having a few drinks before.
The atmosphere is quite loud, but it's definitely an improvement over the Linden location! They have pizza available now, too. Bad Juan consistently hits the mark.
I was a bit puzzled because the last time I visited this Elsa location, I was around 15 years old, back in 1990. My recollection is of a dimly lit nightclub atmosphere reminiscent of Mexican ambiance.
Bad Juan = a good time!. We love bad guys! Never been disappointed! Food is so-so, but people don't come here for food:
I believe this location of Elsa's needs some serious improvement—perhaps a renovation or even a complete rebuild. I ordered three tacos: shredded beef, chorizo, and pork carnitas. Based on my experience, the carnitas and chorizo were better than the beef. The service was decent, so if you're looking for a quick bite, it might be worth a stop, but overall, it could use help.
