I highly recommend the Chicken Salad Sandwich along with the Red Pepper Tomato Soup. Virgil enjoyed the soup paired with a Turkey Delight Sandwich, while Donna opted for the colorful and fruity Chicken Salad Plate. Fraser also chose the Turkey Delight and complemented his meal with a Caesar Side Salad. We all indulged in homemade scones that came with an array of delicious toppings: Strawberry/Rhubarb, Orange Marmalade, and Seedless Blackberry Jam, all served with Clotted Cream, of course. Virgil enjoyed a pot of Celebration Tea, Donna had Wedding Tea, and Fraser refreshed himself with Lavender Lemonade. Communitea is a true hidden treasure. While the atmosphere may feel feminine, the food is exceptional. The menu may be small, but it offers fantastic choices, including gluten-free options for scones, salads, sandwiches, and soups. This place is perfect for a lunch with friends and is also family-friendly, welcoming well-behaved children aged seven and up for some fun lessons in proper table manners with real china. With prior arrangements with owner Dawn, Communitea is an ideal venue for joyful gatherings such as weddings or baby showers. You can also call ahead to schedule a delightful high tea experience. If you haven't been yet, I strongly encourage you to visit Communitea and spread the word! P.S. You can come in jeans and a t-shirt, but if you want to dress it up with pearls and white gloves, that would be perfectly acceptable, too!

I've visited this restaurant multiple times, and the staff has consistently been very welcoming. I've never had to wait long for my food or tea. I find it hard to agree with the previous review mentioning a long wait for food. During my last visit, there was a group of seven and five other tables with two guests each, yet I didn't hear any complaints. It's important to remember that this is a tea house, not a fast-food joint. The experience is meant to be relaxing, allowing you to enjoy the atmosphere and your company. The food and tea were absolutely fantastic! I will definitely return!

The natural light in the afternoon created a pleasant atmosphere, and the service was excellent. Leah, our host, was attentive and very helpful. I highly recommend this charming café for any special occasion, whether it's a bridal shower, baby shower, birthday celebration, or simply a lovely afternoon tea with someone special. It’s a unique and fun place—a true hidden gem!

We had our monthly book club meeting at Communitea yesterday and had such a wonderful time. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious, especially the Paris tea and the strawberry scone with lemon curd topping. I’ll definitely be returning!
