Innspired Dining at Daylesford Inn

I have tried most of the Indian restaurants in the area and having been to India 5 times I am very familiar with the real vs watered down versions of Indian for Western palettes .This restaurant delivers on quality and fresh food .Decor needs a bit of an update but the food makes up for the ambience

This restaurant must be one of the best-kept foodie secrets in Daylesford. Don't be deterred by the fairly plain decor. The food is truly "Innspired" - the pan-fried mushrooms and the onion bhaji for starters were sensational and full of flavour. For mains we shared butter chicken, coconut prawns and lamb korma, with rice that was a delicious combination of fluffy and chewy. The generous servings were enough to feed five. The table service from the delightful French (yes!) waitress was prompt and effortless. The owners are very friendly, and were happy to dim the lighting for us when we asked. The restaurant is fully licensed but we were allowed to bring our own wine.Open seven days a week for dinner, sadly the room was nearly empty on a Tuesday night. With food this good, they deserve to have a full house every night. We hope the owners follow through with their plans for promotion, and that locals and visitors support this superb addition to the Daylesford dining scene.

A pleasant surprise to find authentic tasty Indian in this lovely town. The service was absolutely fantastic, we were weary from a long trip and they took great care of us and our 3 small children. We'll be back!

Had a very nice meal here. Restaurant was quiet. Was not fussed by the chardonay but wifes pinot grigio was ok.
