Osaka Steak Sushi - Dawsonville

If she enjoys sashimi as much as I do, she might have noticed that many restaurants today serve very small portions. I love going out for sashimi, and thankfully, Osaka doesn’t skimp on portions. You can get all your sashimi cravings satisfied here!

This is an excellent restaurant that's definitely worth the trip! I visited just before dinner, and the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I enjoyed sushi and the hibachi dinner, which featured a typical entertaining show, just like you'd expect at any hibachi restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

When I was growing up in Dawsonville, I remember when Osaka first opened its doors. The food is decent, and the sushi is exceptional, but there's one issue that seriously bothers me: the restaurant doesn't pass on credit card tips to the servers; they keep them instead. If you choose to tip, it's best to give your server cash directly. Also, pay close attention to the menu prices before you settle the bill. For instance, if you order a child's meal, be aware that opting for a protein can add an extra $7, despite the children’s menu listing chicken or steak with noodles or rice for $7.99. This has always been the case. I understand these are tough times, but it's simply not right for a restaurant to withhold the tips that staff have earned from diners. It's disheartening to see such practices in the industry.

The food was quite good overall. The sushi had a good pack and was tight. However, fried rice was ok, but not the best to taste.

Long wait for no reason. Rice and yum yum sauce was bland and the rice had corn in it. Filet was REALLY good though. Salad was good even though it was bagged with no extras. Can buy the same thing from Walmart. Crab Rangoon was good. The chef had no personality and did not entertain us at ALL. Just okay. Won?t be back though.
