Selection was great. Not just the same old menu. Upstairs lounge. Downstairs restaurant. I had baked beans and loaded potato,bacon,cheese etc dish that came in a cast iron pan. My wife had avocado egg rolls and pulled pork noodle bowl. Everything had exquisite taste and needed nothing else. View all feedback.

Do not waste your money here. Decided to try it while in town for a couple of days since it had such great reviews. I was very disappointed. I was with a group of 4, and not one person enjoyed the food. Nothing was cooked properly and it didn't seem like the food was cooked fresh to order, more like it was heated up for us. The onion soup was outstanding, with a slightly different taste than usual. A small Caesar was ok. Others in our party of 15 had some good and some ok, but nothing really bad. Server handled our large group with ease. Brisket looked overcooked.
We saw a review on line and decided to try this place for dinner on a Friday evening. Service was great and attentive. Food was average at best. My wife had the smoked brisket that came with a potato and coleslaw. She said the brisket was tender but a little dry. It came with a house gravy but she asked for Bar B Q sauce.I had the Mushroom Rissoto with a salad. The Rissoto was flavorful and very rich with a large amount of mushrooms. Thd salad was just a salad.Overall the ambience was quiet and not rushed. The food was good but we have had better.
If you like dried out meat, this is the place to go. I went here for the second time, and was even more disappointed then the first. First time, I ordered the Bratwurst sandwich. There was so much mustard on it, the acidity hurt my mouth. Not to mention, the bratwurst was actually three small breakfast sausages on a bun. This last time, apparently the cooks screwed up on the ribs, so there were no ribs. The brisket that three of us ordered was no better. The looks of it it and the smashed potatoes is not appealing, so before you bite in, it looks like you are eating a plate full of overcooked, almost burned, food. The brisket was not fork tender and it was extremely dry. The gravy they give you is no different then a gravy used for fries, I would have expected a homemade au jus or something. It was terrible. My wife's bratwurst gumbo was good if you liked onions and peppers. Apparently there wasn't much else in it. For a smokehouse, I would expect them to know how to use a smoker.
This place has no ambionce , but the food is good and service is fine, the prices are high. It has an upstairs and street level. The upostairs is noicey
We had never been in Dawson Creek before so this restaurant was selected on the word of some friends.When we arrived we were greeted at the door and asked if we wanted a booth or table? We asked for a table and were shown to a booth. My fault for not saying something right away but I let it go. Unfortunately the booth seats were hard and square to the seat back which caused back problems for one of our party.My "Barron of Beef" came with a Yorkshire Pudding and not a bun which was something I have never seen before. I asked for a soda with no ice and got a glass full of ice.They did not have decaf coffee and showed no interest in making any for us.The food was OK but not special and the poor service certainly took the edge of what should have been a nice dinner.
