The Mount Pleasant Inn is a versatile pub located along the road leading from Dawlish Warren to Dawlish. Positioned on a raised area, it offers stunning views of Dawlish Warren Bay. The establishment features a family room, a main pub area, and a dining section. The food is enjoyable, falling somewhere between typical pub fare and restaurant quality. The pub also offers bed and breakfast accommodations, with rooms that boast lovely views of the Warren Bay. There is a parking lot available for patrons, but it fills up quickly.

The cutlery needed a good cleaning. It was clear that the food had been frozen rather than freshly prepared, as advertised. I even found a lump of solid frozen mashed potato in the middle of the hot mashed potato. They offered to replace the chips instead, and the steak and kidney pie was tasty. I was willing to give the place a second chance, so I returned a few days later for a beef roast dinner. The meat was served in half-inch chunks, and the roast potatoes were excessively greasy, almost like they had been deep-fried. The cauliflower was just a large, mushy lump, and the carrots were too soft and watery—overall, it was of VERY POOR QUALITY. My partner ordered gammon steaks, which were very gristly, and the side salad was minimal, while the chips were disgusting. When I complained, I was told the chips were freshly cooked, but the staff member's attitude was indifferent. I have never seen "fresh" chips that looked so leathery and dried out; no wonder my dog refused to eat them!
