the blockhuus is definitely worth a recommendation. eating is really good, the menu is sufficiently large, so everyone can find something. tastefully there was nothing to mecker, the portions were nice big, the quality good. the brotzeitbrettl was even huge and excellently documented. the prices are as you have to expect in the opposite of davos (fearing?) but the extremely friendly and attentive service comforts ove... What Pius Zwahlen doesn't like about Blockhuus:
Stopped by here on my way to Monstein, but left immediately. Almost everything was in German. There seemed to be a very limited number of dishes. I also got a negative vibe from the staff...as though I wasn't welcomed. Staff didn't make an effort to translate anything for me either. Just went on to Monstein with an empty stomach and man...I was glad I did! View all feedback.
Very comfortable at the lower end of the slope of Rinerhorn, right next to the parking lot and gondola. Since the ride from the mountain is very nice, it is not a bad idea to go all the way here, to eat lunch and then go up the mountain with the gondola again. So you get a good meal, and the departure at least twice. Menu is not very long, but the food delicious and service friendly. No after-ski party, but a beautiful terrace to enjoy glass of something while the last sun rays disappear behind the beautiful mountains.
We thought we were a few sausages and beer while we were waiting for our train to St. Moritz, and we had a nice visit. The decor is absolutely beautiful with wooden plates and a fireplace. It seems like an idyllic place for a drink after a long hike. Note: The restaurant does not have high chairs or toilets. We brought our own high chair, and toilets are located in the building directly south of the café.

Great - a restaurant in a ski area that offers more than pommes
