I really enjoyed the food; the presentation of the dishes was fantastic. The noise level was a bit high for my liking, but it wasn't a major issue. I’ll definitely be coming back! View all feedback.
What Francesca McGlynn doesn't like about Comida Peruana:
We went on a sat. nite. Music was very loud as we entered and continued through the night. When other diners came in, it was very difficult to hear across the table. The cerviche was good, not great. I had corvina and it was very good. Other couple had a steak dish which they did not like at all. View all feedback.
The Peruvian food here was of poor quality. The ceviche was inedible due to excessive spiciness—it shouldn’t be that hot. The daily special recommended by the waiter was overpriced at $40 and was just average. What concerned me the most was the lack of hygiene in the restaurant, especially among the cooks, waitstaff, and in the restroom, which is particularly worrisome during the Coronavirus pandemic. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Outstanding Peruvian cuisine featuring exceptionally fresh ingredients and top-notch service. Great value for the price!
We had a nice lunch at Dr. Limon. We've been to one of their Miami locations and I can say their food is consistently good. We tried the Dr. Characato ceviche which is made with huacatay (black mint cream). The fish was fresh and the sauce was good. We asked for the ceviche medium spicy but it tasted more like mild or no spice, we had to add extra spicy sauce. This ceviche is served with the traditional Peruvian corn and canchita (toasted corn) but instead of sweet potato it's served with white potato. I would have rather had the sweet potato, it's much more flavorful. We also had the lomo saltado which was very good, cooked on the wok as it always should be. The meat was tender, smoky and juicy. The rice could have been better, perhaps a bit fluffier. They don't make pisco sours at this location apparently (at least during lunch) but they do have a house made cocktail made with passion fruit, pisco and mint. It was a bit sweet for my taste but it got lighter as the ice melted. I could barely taste the pisco in it though. Also, they will offer you filtered water for $2 per bottle with unlimited refills and they will make it sound like regular tap water is not an option but it is. If you check in with Yelp you get a free dessert so we chose to indulge on a slice of Peruvian chocolate cake and lucuma ice cream, it was rich and delicious.
All the way from Canada, where we don’t have a huge offer of Peruvian restaurants, and even though I heard good things of this place, it did not live up to our expectations. Very average and expensive compared to quality
