From the moment we arrived, we received the... read more This restaurant is nothing short of perfect! Situated in the heart of Davidson, it boasts an incredible atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest welcome we've experienced since moving to North Carolina. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waitress was attentive and sweet. And can we talk about the free cornbread? Absolutely a bonus! Now, the food—wow! I ordered the Nutella toast, and it was absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in Davidson, I highly recommend stopping by!

I asked for an update on our food but didn... read more We waited 45 minutes after ordering drinks without anyone checking on us, despite there being more than 10 waitstaff. I asked for an update on our food but didn't get a response; I had to ask again. We were told that "everyone was our waiter," yet no one approached us. When we finally received an update, we were informed that they were "trying to locate the order." After an hour of waiting, we decided to leave. The only person who apologized was the hostess, who wasn't even serving tables.

Initially everything went... read more Sadly this will have been my last experience at a Famous Toastery. Came on a Sunday afternoon for brunch with family from out of town. Initially everything went smoothly, our waitress was prompt with getting our drink and food orders. That's where itstopped. We waited 45min from the time of order for our food. My wife and I have both worked food service before so weunderstand things get busy and backed up. Not a problem. What was a problem was that our waitress did not stop by our table onceto communicate the status of our food. We barely saw her on the floor with other tables, she seemed upset and I can't judge whatthat may have been. Sadly nobody else helped her out, which actually made me more upset than her absence. It was clear the teamon Sunday was every man/woman for himself/herself. My wife asked three different staff members for assistance and we wentlargely ignored. We asked one about the status of our food when we couldn't find our waitress, this lady said I'll check. Thenproceeded to ignore us multiple times before we stopped her again. Another staff we asked for some syrup when the food wasdelivered. She also walked by multiple times ignoring us and serving drinks to other tables. My wife went to the front andretrieved syrup from the bar. And lastly we had to ask someone else to get our check because we just wanted to leave. The foodwas late, the communication didn't exist and being ignored by multiple staff was frustrating. Sadly my burger tasted of noseasoning and was well done instead of medium well. But I wasn't about to risk asking for it to be remade because I had justwaited 45min for it to show up. We really loved this place in the past. Unfortunately this was two strikes in a row for FamousToastery. Last time it was a similar experience with my wife at the Mooresville location and sadly we won't be coming back.

However, during our recent visit, the management was seating guests without having enough cooks in the kitchen, resulting in us waiting over an hour for our order. We understand that staffing issues can happen, but good judgment and customer service should be a priority, especially when the experience is less than satisfactory. If you have the time and don’t mind dealing with a rude management, it can be a nice spot. But if you have somewhere to be and appreciate being treated well, I would suggest looking for another option.
