Great food, freshly prepared. We were able to request favourites (custand pannacotta) and the chef prepared them for the following evening. Not to mention the amazingly crisp pork crackling delicious!
The restaurant has a bright and spacious dining area with attentive staff. The food is of high quality with a wide selection to choose from. The wine prices are a bit on the higher side, but they offer a good variety.
The terrace restaurant at the Highgate House Hotel has a nice atmosphere with an excellent selection of food on the menu and a good selection of all types of wine. . The staff are really attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them.
This restaurant is our go-to spot for special occasions. They always exceed our expectations. When we made a reservation, I mentioned how much we loved their gammon. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the Carvery menu when we arrived. However, when we went to get our food, the chef informed us that they had prepared gammon just for us! This gesture was a pleasant surprise, especially considering they were busy with a large party at the same time. The staff here always go above and beyond to make customers happy. It truly made our day. Thank you! We can't wait to come back soon.
Delicious food, well presented. All three courses were great, we had the cheddar and leek tart and pate to start, followed by the Lamb rump, and Sea Bass, both served with fresh vegetables and potatoes, desert Chocolate Brownie and Bakewell tart
