I've been here before. it never disappointed. big village pub. full of local drink and eat the great, unpretentious, but excellent cooked food. great service. traveled by stafford for my Sunday dinner and would do it again. I wish it was my local. View all feedback.
After a warm and friendly greeting we had a fantastic lunch in this excellent pub. the menu was imaginative, but without prescribed and eating that we received was the first to guess with fabulous aromen and large portions. can recommend thoroughly.
We have passed on the red lions in thornby after we explore northamptonshire with the car! the food was excellent. my partner had the steak, ale and stylton cake with hand cut chips and seasonal green veg! it was the best cake we both ever tasted and the filling was so well fed! I had the chicken carving with Romanesco sauce. another fantastic dish! to dessert, we both had the Bannoffee-Terte that was from this world! we will definitely come back! beautiful atmosphere also in the pub.
We came off the A14 after Google maps recommended it. It's a great little find. Not at all pub grub. We arrived at 2 minutes to 2pm and good finished at 2. They accepted is. We ordered two Bouillabaisse and it was excellent. The Rouille...was delicious and authentic, fish perfectly cooking and had samphire, mussels etc in a lovely broth. Really well prepared and presented and the service was friendly and efficient. Excellent
This was the most amazing Sunday lunches we have had in a very long time. Everything was exceptional, service food. Would definitely recommend
We enjoyed a fantastic meal at this restaurant, which has a relaxed and friendly yet professional atmosphere. The food is top-notch, with a creative menu featuring delicious dishes made with local ingredients that are cooked and presented beautifully. Despite not being a fancy gastropub, it still has a charming village pub feel. Highly recommended.
