Fish and chips tasty even though the batter, for me, was a bit to thick and stodgy. It would of been nice to have a smile or even a how you doing today, the only conversation with the 3 guys was do you want salt and vinegar ? View all feedback.
What Pamela Denny doesn't like about Fuller's Fish N' Chips:
2years ago this was a brilliant fish and chip shop. Since it changed hands isn’t as good . Food very greasy and slummy raw batter in the fish not really even worth one star. Won’t be back.
The only downside was that the fish was not deboned or skinned. However, the pineapple fritters were absolutely amazing.
I ordered the haddock and found the batter to be delicious and perfectly cooked. However, it was not skinned or boned.
I had the worst experience with the fish and chips at this restaurant. The chips were pale, tough, and cold, while the fish was small and the batter was soggy, as if it hadn't been cooked properly. The mushy peas lacked any flavor. The restaurant itself was dirty and in need of a thorough cleaning and redecorating. The staff were rude, and we had to wait over 25 minutes for food that seemed to have just been reheated but was still cold. I would recommend staying away from this place if you want to avoid getting food poisoning.
Sounds like it's changed in the 4 years since I reviewed this chippy,so many one stars, sounds dreadful now.
Not used these guys for a while just popped in for a Saturday eve chips n doner kebab and it was absolutely spot on chips where perfect doner meat was tasty and the salad was fresh oh and the chilli sauce was banging! Keep up the good work guys
