Hostess was so slow, disappointed she wake up from bed today. But everyone else was nice, polite and friendly. This buffet have a lot variety of food and it’s tasty. View all feedback.
The food was quite impressive. The hibachi chef was fantastic—maybe a bit too spicy for my taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is currently under new management, and it appears that there is a greater variety of options on the menu. Although I typically come for the hibachi grill, I sampled some other dishes as well, and they were served at a good temperature (it was 1 PM). The place was bustling, yet the food stations remained very clean, with staff constantly tidying up the areas.
The only downside was that it was a bit pricey, but in today’s economy, I suppose that’s to be expected; I obviously can’t expect prices from 2004. My Monday evening dinner, which included a soda, came to $19.58. My server was attentive, ensuring my drinks were always filled until it was time for the check. She promptly cleared away used plates as they accumulated on the table. I tipped her generously—more than I typically would at a buffet, over 15%. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my experience and would definitely consider returning. That said, it might have to be an occasional treat for me.
The shrimp selection is impressive, with at least a dozen different preparations, including coconut shrimp, butter shrimp, stuffed shrimp, and whole salt and pepper shrimp. The chicken offerings range from fried wings to various Chinese dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the coconut chicken. For seafood lovers, there are six types of fish to choose from, including fried walleye, scallops, mussels, and baby clams served in their shells, along with crayfish and sushi. The menu also boasts beef brisket and traditional Chinese beef dishes like Mongolian beef. I was surprised by the variety of vegetables available, including corn on the cob, steamed green beans, and various potato dishes. All the food is seasoned in a way that's familiar to Midwesterners, with no unusual flavors, and the spicy dishes were clearly labeled. You can also find four types of soup and a wide range of dipping sauces. The buffet features skewered pork, ribs, and more, along with made-to-order sushi where you can choose your ingredients, and a sushi chef will prepare it for you, all made fresh and served on ice. You can build your own stir-fry, just like at HuHot, where you select your items and a chef will cook them up for you. The buffet includes two cold fruit and salad bars, as well as cold baby octopus and hot fried frog legs. For dessert, there are eight different flavors of "dip-your-own" ice cream, along with a dessert bar stocked with all the classics you’d expect. The cost for a senior on a Friday night during Lent was $17.62 including tax, which I found to be quite reasonable.
The selection was AMAZING. Great food. They could have had a cleaner establishment. Soy sauce on table was sticky...but they were so busy and short staffed. Great service.
Great food! Great customer service and friendly employees! I took a friend of mine there he had never been there before. He enjoyed his self. He loves the food and their price. Now I can't get him to venture out to different restaurants. It is always the Dynasty. Lol...
