Katsu Country - Davao

It was just average. You can't really go wrong with this place, but it depends on whether you're looking for authentic Japanese cuisine.

The food is good, but the prices are quite high for what you get. The service is decent, around a 7 out of 10, and the ambiance is nice.

This was my first visit since some pandemic restrictions were lifted. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance with appealing interiors. It wasn't too crowded during my lunch visit, which allowed me to enjoy my space. I ordered the pork katsu, and it was fantastic. However, I wasn't particularly impressed with the miso soup that came with the meal. I didn't get to try many other options as some dishes and shakes were unavailable, so I opted for the katsu instead. I plan to come back in the future to explore more of the menu. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with reasonable prices and friendly staff.

The location was perfect. It has an ample parking space in front. When you come in, it has this simple but elegant look due to its furnitures and natural wood finish. It was a well thought-architecturally-designed restaurant. Found out that the brothers owner was an architect and an interior/ furniture designer at the same time. Lucky owner. The food greatly improved. I mean the first time i went here, their katsu menu was already delicious but they improved on their selections menu and added more options. Not only on the katsu's but they have ramen tofu's which i loved too. Kudos to EJ Pasia furnitures too. Lovely furniture and pleasing to the eyes. Will definitely come back with pictures and highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. The interior is lovely, and the ambiance is quite pleasant as well. Despite the "Soft Opening" sign (as of March 2017), the service was excellent. The prices are very reasonable, too. I particularly liked the Fish Katsu and Sans Rival. The location is very convenient, and they are open from 5 PM to 10 PM during their Soft Opening period.
