Gui Gui Grill - Davao
Gui Gui Grill
Description
At this recently relocated restaurant, diners experience a mixed bag of reviews. While some praise the rich flavors and attentive service, highlighting favorites like samgyeopsal and the creamy iced coffee, others express dissatisfaction with the service delays, lack of authenticity, and overall atmosphere. Complaints about food quality, inattentive staff, and an overwhelming ambiance detract from what could be a wonderful dining experience. Despite these criticisms, loyal patrons cherish the restaurant's offerings but note that the loud environment and limited selection could use improvement. For those seeking genuine Korean cuisine, opinions are divided on whether this spot satisfies.

The side dishes were insufficient, and refills are no longer offered. The samgyeopsal (pork belly) was cut too thick for my liking.
I discovered my love for Korean cuisine here back in 2017, and I haven't looked back since. The food and service are exceptional. I especially appreciate how they consistently refill the side dishes. Our favorite dishes include samgyeopsal with unlimited lettuce, ojingeo bokkeum, bibimbap, ramen, kimbap, and, of course, the iced coffee. I've tried various restaurants, but the iced coffee here is truly fantastic—rich and creamy. A glass of iced coffee is the perfect way to cool down after a spicy Korean meal. Guigui was our go-to spot for Korean food, but unfortunately, they have relocated to Mabini Complex, which is a bit less convenient for us commuters.
The exhaust fan was not working. There was a limited selection of side dishes. The customer service was lacking, and the side dishes were store-bought and pre-made.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the service was fantastic! My mom is quite selective about her meals, but she really liked what she had here. The owner was also very gracious in introducing us to various Korean products.
