Vi fikk ville kantareller, lokal hjort og bær fra skogene rundt (blant annet). Restauranten har en imponerende vinliste, til fordypning eller frustrasjon.Rettene vi fikk servert var lekre, smakte svært bra og framsto på alle vis balansert gjennom måltidet. Et godt sted å stoppe!

Was dann kam, war eine einzige Entt... read more Wir waren am Samstag, den 08.07.17 mit guten Freunden gemeinsam dort und hatten uns auf ein kulinarisches Highlight gefreut. Was dann kam, war eine einzige Enttäuschung. Eine völlig "schräge" Bedienung, eine äußerst übersichtliche Speisekarte und kleine überschaubare Gerichte, die man fast nur mit der Lupenbrille wahrnimmt und die einem dann zum 3-Gänge-Menue Wucherpreis von 68,- EUR angeboten werden. Wir haben noch in keinem Restaurant ein derart unstimmiges Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis erlebt. Es geht nicht um das Geld, sondern es geht darum, was einem dafür geboten wird und das war von der Menge und dem Geschmack nicht ansatzweise den Preis wert. Schlichtweg eine Unverschämtheit. Und die Bedienung spottet jeder Beschreibung. Nachdem wir akustisch nicht sofort verstanden hatten, daß es sich um Ziegenkäse handelte und nochmal nachfragten, bekamen wir nur ein blödes "mää" zur Antwort. Sollte wohl witzig sein, war aber einfach nur blöd und einem vermeintlichen Gourmet-Restaurant völlig unangemessen. Was den Abend dennoch zu eibem schönen Abend machte, war das Zusammensein mit guten Freunden. Aber das Restaurant: never again. Da sind 2 Sterne schon zuviel.

De wijnkaart, die een dagelijks de passende wijnen voorstelt is echt goed. Vraag een afwijking buien de kaart en daaraan wordt onmiddellijk voldaan.

And that is exactly why Michelin has awarded the restaurant with a star. We had...a 7-course dinner and each course was a delight and a wounderful combination of tastes and presented masterfully:, I have attached pictures of some of the courses so that you can see them for yourselves. I really enjoyed my starter, which was a parfait of foie gras very tastefully combined with passion fruit and chocolate. Not an obvious combination but a very succesful one. But also the halibut and the beef filet were close to perfection. The restaurant has a very romantic, traditional setting and you feel like the Kurfürst yourself. If it was a bit closer (than about 360 km) from our home, we would be very regular guests, and I am a bit jealous of the people living in the Eifel.
