We were a little apprehensive about trying this place because of the reviews. We were actually glad we did as the food is AMAZING! Right up there with the best Asian cuisine in Darwin. The chef informed us that over the past year new owners have taken over and there has been huge improvement. Atmosphere is great, overlooking the Darwin Harbour. Highly recommended . What Northern girl doesn't like about Red Dragon:
Ate at the wharf last night, two of the girls ate here and got food poisoning. Poor girls so sick all night and both ate different meals. Not a good start to holiday. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 View all feedback.
How they are allowed to serve up this expensive slop is beyond me. We both left our food at the table, inedible. Very efficient at working out the price but served us the wrong meal initially and then the replacement tasted like month old chicken. Never again! Had the pad Thai chicken and chicken laska. The chicken laska was cooked fresh and it was amazing
I ate laksa. When I received the soup, I was given a spoon to drink the soup with, but I said I didn't need it. She asked me with a sad look on my face if I would like to have some soup, and I replied that I would drink the delicious soup in one gulp at the end.
$26.90 for an inedible meal .. ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken .. got what I think was pork instead .. meat had that taste of when it’s just turning rotten, absolutely no flavour .. to top it off staff were very rude .. first bad meal I’ve had in lovely Darwin .. certainly won’t be eating there again! Love the food here and service is great! I took the family here for dinner and we were all very impressed. The chef seems to have a passion for serving beautiful food for sure. I recommend the hor fun noodles; mud crab is a winner and; the laksa one of the best in Darwin. Descent sized portions and reasonably priced. Will be back again.
