Yum Yums Cafe - Dartford

I had breakfast at Yum Yums, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The café is modern and cozy, featuring friendly staff and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. As a vegan, I was pleased to find a great selection of plant-based options, including vegan butter for toast and bread. My breakfast was delicious—homemade basil and pomegranate toast paired with perfectly ripe tomatoes. They also offer tasty vegan sausages, spinach, avocado, and more for a cooked breakfast. The lunch and dinner menus are updated regularly and include a wide range of vegan dishes. It's refreshing to find a place that caters to everyone, and I will definitely be returning soon!

We ordered some fruit juice along with a few boiled items. Unfortunately, there were no vegan sausages available and limited vegan options on the menu. Once they realized we were vegan, they asked if we wanted the mushrooms cooked without butter. The chef then sent the waitress back to confirm that we wanted granatbrot, as if to check if we were truly vegan. It was frustrating that there was no vegan butter offered at all, making the whole experience uncomfortable from start to finish. It felt almost as if we were part of a wildlife documentary narrated by David Attenborough—like we were the first vegans they had ever encountered. Dining there was not enjoyable, and everything felt inadequate. The portions were small and the mushrooms were disappointing. Given the previous positive reviews, we were very let down. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
