Answering a... read more First let me say we were so happy to be able to get back into Latils Landing. The pre designed meal was amazing! Our waiter Josh was a perfect host. Answering all our questions. And giving us a peak at future plans on menu changes. And his choice for the classic rock music made it all exceptional! We can't wait to come back for dinner under the oaks in a few months. 5 stars all around!

Also, before dinner we participated in the Houmas House Untold Ghost Stories tour, which is exclusive to certain dates and times in the month of October. This tour truly captured the essence of the Plantation grounds and gave historical background on many people and objects associated with the Houmas House. There is also a general historical tour of the Houmas House throughout the majority of the year and no matter what tour you might partake in, I would highly recommend taking a tour before eating because it really sets a nice tone for the dinning experience. It can be a bit of a pricey experience, but it's definitely worth saving up some money for if your looking to have an amazingly unforgettable experience. Again, because of the Houmas House and the people that maintain it and keep it's spirit alive, my wife and I were able to create a memory we will never forget. Thank y'all for everything and you can bet that we will be back again one day, but until then take care.

And that's saying something as I have been all... read more We went to Latils Landing during their winter menu. The food was absolutely one of the top 5 meals I've ever had. And that's saying something as I have been all over the world eating great food. The grouper with wild mushrooms was positively sublime. The lobster and sweet potato bisque with truffle oil was a surprising hit. The use of warm water lobster rather than cold water lobster was inspired. The sweet potato needed no additional sweetness and the lobster added a nice texture to the bisque. The waigu beef rib was positively succulent and tender in a way only properly prepared waigu can be. And the balance of salt, spices, and acids was perfect. I will return when the spring menu starts. I'm curious if the chef can keep this level of gustatory performance up.

I strongly recommend their unique and inspired wine pairings. The atmosphere is remarkable; savoring exquisite food in a room dating back to the 1700s, set in such a beautiful location, is simply incredible.
