When you are in Darmstadt, unfortunately there are not many vegetarian restaurants with a big menu. But fortunately there is Baobab. Half of the menu consists of vegetarian food(maybe even vegan). You can also order a mix of all vegetarian options. The food is really tasty and the atmosphere is nice. Durch viele Berichte meiner Freunde bin ich auf dieses Lokal aufmerksam geworden.Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht, daher ist eine Reservierung (zumindest am Wochenende) sehr zu empfehlen.Das Essen ist gut, könnte aber ein wenig mehr sein.Der Service war Anfangs ein wenig überfordert, was sich aber mit der abnehmenden Zahl der Gäste im Laufe des Abends verbesserte.Alles in Allem ein Besuch, der wiederholt werden kann. They offer vegan starters and four main dishes that you also combine as one plate. I already went there a couple of times and I usually chose the combination plate. The food is really good.
The food here is pretty good. I really love the red lentils. It's a cute place but it's quite small so you should call ahead to reserve a table.
Nice atmosphere, you sit on the floor and eat with the hands. very tasty eritreic eating, but the portions were not even nearly large enough for us (small woman big man,) so that we were still not fed by an appetizer dish (each intended for 2). cheap isn't here, so it was really nasty.
Quiet place and friendly staff. great drinks and fantastic eating, with various vegan options also! the vegan mixture is really good and I recommend it. honest price for quality and quantity of food. I'd go back there. updated by previous review on 2022-04-09
The Baobab is a atmospheric eritrean restaurant in Darmstadt. The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. We‘ll definitely come more often.
