We had an excellent dinner tonight at the restaurant. I ordered the crab angel hair pasta with extra crab, which was packed with delicious crab meat. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Thank you for a great dining experience. View all feedback.
What MichaelL doesn't like about Bei Amici:
Nice table, friendly service, Angel Hair pasta was soggy, “chef’s special creation” pork dish was tough, the small Spatchcock was minute, they forgot one main course on a table for two (hard to explain) and the prices are more appropriate for a fine dining restaurant rather than the basic trattoria this is. Good wine list though. View all feedback.
Perfect dinner. bara, spatchcock and auberginen parmigiana were perfect. burrata was also excellent. beautiful local atmosphere and friendly staff who know their things. (then theremunder dame.) highly recommended for everyone as long as the guests appreciate excellent eating.
The best service and eat. I find it so hard to get beautiful quality fish to take. everything was perfect, the main, the sides and the friendly staff. we have long lived in darling point, I forgot this great little restaurant. not be deceived, how little it is eating is great in taste.
So happy to have it as our native. not only the most delicious contemporary Italian, but also the best service. leigh and felix, what a team. have eaten the way through the menu and everything is absolutely delicious. always fresh, a real deep. taste and always interesting never disappointed.
This place is located in mona rd, directly on the new south head rd at the darling point. I drove hundreds of paints and I always wondered how it was. we are here for dinner only recently. the evening was warm and. the inside of the restaurant was quite busy and very scrupulous, so we decided to have a table outside. very friendly waiter (Spanish or Italian) sat and gave us menus. not massive offers, but reasonable enough. decisive on the angel hair pasta with crab and cannelloni as two net and asparagus for a starter. the spatula was excellent with a basilikum Mayo sauce. the pasta served about 4 mouthfully mixed with a small amount of crab. a double crab was offered, but at $10 a hit, no thanks. the big hit is the wine prices simple, with the pixies! with the eyes that pour when looking at the wine list, we decided for the half, yes the half, a carafe red wine $60! that were about two glasses and went to the left. it was poggiotondo chianti, the retails for about $20 a bottle for the vintage 2020, so the restaurant would buy it much cheaper. So, I know, covid influenced restaurants massive and small portions and obscene wine prices are probably the way to uncouple the losses, but the result is that one visit the one and only we do. pity, because eating was not bad and the staff was very nice, but if all said and done, it must be a kind of worth for money. at $160, it wasn't clear. with Rave reviews, the location will probably continue to be packed, especially if money is not an object! .
Wonderful restaurant. Indoor or pavement dining. Nice atmosphere. Fabulous staff. Excellent presentation of dishes done just a little bit differently and with superb flavours. Quality wine list by glass or bottle. Post lockdown, worth that little bit more for a very enjoyable dining experience.
