Westbrook Tavern - Darling Heights

I was very disappointed with the meal. Our table had Rissoles, Mashed Potato and Gravy. The rissoles were a little dry and without taste, and the potato mashed had a strong taste and was unpalatable. I accept that all employees in restaurants have a bad night if things don't go to plan in their meal, but why would you serve the potato with a burnt flavor. This was a very quiet night with only 3 tables with Diners. But on the positive side the engraving was really nice, but there was so little of it on our plates, it did not disguise the failure of the potato and left the cracks even more dry. I'm not going back.

I had dinner at Tavern last weekend and it was a great experience. The food was delicious, there was plenty of parking, and the staff were very friendly.

I don't often write reviews, unless it is really good or really bad. This one is exceptionally good. Great service from Helen, who couldn't do enough for us. Salt of the earth, she provided amazing service. The food wasn't cheap, but the quality reflected the...price. Huge meal, excellent standard. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Fantastic meals with spot on service. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Beers are always good. Love the raffle's on Sundays. Only sad thing about this place is that it doesn't have a country feel for a country pub. Corporate.

The restaurant offers fantastic pub fare and excellent service. We tried five different dishes and thoroughly enjoyed each one. My grilled barramundi was cooked to perfection and left a lasting impression. (We also tried the Steak Sandwich, Barra, and Lasagne parmi.)
