My friend and I were recommended to visit this restaurant after arriving in the evening in Darjeeling! It is completely vegetarian and everything is made to order. The staff understood all of our requests and were happy to accommodate our dietary needs. The wait time is at least 30 minutes, as the food is freshly prepared on site, but it is definitely worth the wait. We both ordered the North Indian thali, which came... View all feedback.
What Aishwarya Panchal doesn't like about Hasty Tasty Pure Veg:
I went in and said hello, and the staff ignored me and I went out again. that happened twice and I gave up. the place was near empty the several meal times when I passed, apart from the workers who sit around, nothing to do. the only soy milk I could find in Darjeeling was listed in a small supermarket downhill on the first street directly from post office (i think) and soy milk as an added ingredient (kau) milk. Opposite planter’s club on chowrasta. the native loves hasty Tasty tourists crazy. very good. they order to pay at the theke they get a token their food comes to the counter they call their number. not fast, fast .but then nothing is very fast in darjeeling! reasonable pure according to local standards. hasty tasty really gets really, really crowded in 'Meal times' I had to wait to come about 20 minutes for a table a lunch, when I came with 4 friends, then another nearly 30 minutes for all our food coming to visit other times to get them a table faster. beautiful mountain views when they get window seats. can be very loud when many families are waiting for her to eat. I usually go to thalis ask her to remove yogurt dishes. order carefully milking heavy menu mainly with cheese filled dressing. about salate raw sweet she decides I never had a problem. no soy milk carry them with them if they want milk tea or coffee.
For vegetarians, this restaurant is a paradise. They offer a wide variety of North Indian, South Indian, and Chinese cuisine. While I wouldn't recommend the Momos here, everything else was perfectly delicious. After traveling for 10 days, we reached Darjeeling craving some good, homemade North Indian food, and this restaurant delivered exactly what we were looking for. The Daal Tadka with Rice, Chilli Potato, and Kesar Milk were all top-notch.

The Hasty Tasty is an excellent vegetarian restaurant located on the popular Nehru Road in Darjeeling. It is known for its good prices, excellent food, and wonderful views. The restaurant is often full during peak meal times, especially with Indian tourists. In addition to the restaurant, there is also a tea shop nearby where customers can purchase tea. The menu includes delicious chowmein (noodles) and tasty fried momos served with spicy chili sauce.

We both ordered the North Indian thali, which came with dal, 4 vegetable curries, rice, and chapati for about 190 rupees. Just make sure to ask for no curd if you are dairy-free.
