I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The waiter was attentive and eager to offer menu suggestions when asked. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, especially in the terrace area, where diners could interact with those at neighboring tables. I will definitely be returning! What Carlos doesn't like about L'ostal:
I am not sure if I am confused or it was a Very disappointing Experience! As the web says this concept is meant to be French, not inspired in France, French! However a real and auténtico French restaurant might not be worth the risk. The menu shows this too, not even French desserts. I would say it is a “European” inspired restaurant. Service was impecable as expected when you pay $25 for a 6oz glass of wine, however... View all feedback.

Open late and with a wonderfully moody atmosphere, this place was fantastic. The ambiance was beautiful, and the food was excellent.
Our evening began with a half bottle of champagne, which paired beautifully with our starters: foie gras for me and gigante beans for my wife. For our first course, I had the Cursalaté while she enjoyed the ricotta tortelli. For our second course, I chose the duck confit accompanied by a Côtes du Rhône, and my wife opted for the bavette steak paired with a glass of long Nebbiolo. We finished the evening with refreshing homemade gelato topped with a cold espresso shot. While French restaurants are often known for their small portions, we found the servings to be more than adequate. The food was exceptional, the service impeccable, and the waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I could elaborate on the rich and savory foie gras or the satisfying bavette steak, but that would take too long. It's worth mentioning that the chef shares my taste in music, and we were pleasantly surprised to hear The Black Crowes, Susan Tedeschi, and The Allman Brothers while enjoying our special meal. So, if you’re looking for a restaurant for a special occasion or just a great dining experience, we highly recommend L'Ostal.
My wife and I are celebrating our 41. high-time day as well as the birthday of my wife. we are in the order with Italian, but this time franzosen called us. we did not want to go to the nyc, so we decided after checking out yelp in restaurant l’ostal. we were not disappointed. the evening meal began with a half bottle of champagne, which so well paired with our starters foie gras for me and gigante bohnen for my wife. for our second cursor I had the duck confit that I had paired with a cí ́tes du rhí ́ne, and my wife had the bavette steak with a glass long nebbiolo. we finished the evening with refreshing homemade gelato with a shot cold espresso drowned. French restaurants are remarkable for their small portions, but we found the portions more than enough. the food was great, the service was impeccable and the wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I could go on and on about how rich and savory was the foie gras or how satisfying the bavette steak was, but it would just take too long. I must mention that the chef and I have the same taste in the music and we were surprised and pleased to hear on theek trucks, susan tedeschi and the allman brothers while we enjoyed a very special meal. So if you are looking for a restaurant for this special occasion or just want to increase something else and more than something, we recommend the restaurant l’ostal.
