Big Cat Cafe - Darby
Big Cat Cafe
Description
**A Mixed Bag of Experiences at Local Dining Spot**
Nestled in a charming historic town, this restaurant offers a unique atmosphere, from its cozy patio to a rustic interior with a fireplace. Diners have enjoyed standout dishes like the meatloaf, BLT, and fish sandwiches, which received praise for flavor. However, several patrons expressed disappointment in certain menu items, citing overcooked burgers and unremarkable breakfasts. Service experiences varied, with some commendations for friendliness countered by complaints of inattentive staff. While the ambiance proves inviting, inconsistent food quality and service may leave guests divided. Overall, this establishment encapsulates a mix of delightful and frustrating dining experiences worth considering.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the Big Cat Cafe and I'm still not sure. I was seated in a large open room with lots of natural light and the Server quicky came to greet me. The menu was the usual fare ranging from soup/ salad to sandwiches andentrees. I chose the BBQ Pork sliders and tater tots as my side. The BBQ was juicy with a definite vinegar sauce, it tastedlike it was slow cooked all day in a crock pot. I was just a little confused by the lettuce and tomatoes which came on mysliders. Being from the South, this was a different taste in my mouth as I am used to cole slaw. The tater tots were crispy andhot and a good choice. Overall I would try the Big Cat Cafe again.
Good place just wish there were more GF options or alternatives (but I know it's hard). Odd experience as I walked through and had to ask to order drinks, but it was okay. Got the queso fries. Definitely wish there wasn't bbq in the pork, rather it bedrizzled on top so it's not over powering and soggy.
Really enjoyed my pasta and my husband loved the fish tacos. I tried his it was delicious. Appetizer came out after our dinner and I wouldn't order it again, but will definitely be back. Waitress was nice.
$144.26 for two adults, four kids. It took exactly 56 minutes from when we entered to the restaurant to when we recieved our food. I requested a water and it took 10 minutes to get it and the chicken strips were pretty mediocre but the tatertots weregood. The rustic, old timey atmosphere was cool and the outside seating was nice
Great place, atmosphere was awesome, pretty busy place on the patio!! Kelli O was our bartender and server. She was ridiculous. Ignored us with 2 people in the bar and 3 people at a table behind us. They wanted to leave and couldn't get her attention topay their bill to leave. It was the same with us. Only 2 of us but couldn't get her to come to our table to take our beer orderand she looked upset when we wanted to order food. Our food took way too long but came out hot fresh and delicious!! Thecilantro was fresh and very tasty. When Kelli dropped off our bill we sat for 21 minutes waiting for her to come pick up ourpayment. We finally got tired of waiting and as we walked to the bar to pay her she looked right at us and walked out onto thefloor to clean a table. It looked like she was dodging us as we approached her to hand her our payment she attempted to leave togo back behind the bar. If you don't like waiting on people, get out of the business. I'm a very heavy tipper as I have 40years of server, bartender and management experience. I get it and I don't have a problem tipping you!! Except you Kelli, I'mtrying to main professional here but you flat out sucked.
