We loved La Scalia! Big, bright and beautiful atmosphere, great food and service. We shared a pizza, panini, ravioli and Rigatoni ala Vodka and everyone was happy. Definitely a great find after tours of Independence Mall area! View all feedback.
What Brian W doesn't like about Lascala's:
Pretty basic italian restaurant in Old City Philly. We ordered takeout as my wife was not feeling super well so I walked from our hotel to pick it up. I got the Sunday Gravy special which was pretty basic. It wasn 't bad but wasn 't anything special either. My daughter got a very generous portion of kids Penne with marinara which she said was fine. I 'd try somewhere else next time I 'm in Philly. View all feedback.
What a wonderful discovery in University City. Outstanding good, attentive service in a clean and pleasant environment. The veal is over the top!
OMG you have got to be kidding me. This place puts itself out there as a pizza place but my husband had the Fa Diavolo and I had the Veal Marsala. It was all fabulous and not terrible expensive. Their wine list is small but the Chianti was good. If I lived in this area I would eat here regularly.
Ordered a rather simple order of ravioli. Almost two hours later I 'm still waiting to receive it. Called to ask about it and all they say is it 'll probably be there soon . Still waiting...
Five star food near Independence Hall. Great outdoor seating in summer . Worth the walk after seeing the mall . Had the Italian salad and meatball. Very yummy .
