I had chilaquiles. They have gluten and dairy free options. Food was awesome. Service was awesome. The add ones were a little pricey but other than that it was great. View all feedback.
What Maza Zama doesn't like about Café Y Chocolate:
We were looking for Mexican breakfasts and we found this place, we ordered chocolate from Oaxaca and it was good, for lunch we ordered egg with chorizo, green chilaquiles and plain pancakes with nothing but honey. It took about 40 minutes to bring our order ?, the eggs with chorizo were good, but they brought me enchiladas instead of chilaquiles ? it came with rice (which I don't eat, that's why I ordered chilaquiles... I have been a very loyal customer for many years; great quality food and excellent staff . This year however the outside terrace has become a smoking zone!!! This has made it very difficult for non smoking customers and for cyst with children . One of the outstanding features of the cafe is the outside area which has always been a smoke free area. Previously smokers were very polite and educated and would stand on the pavement when having a cigarette. This is no longer the case . Smokers are very offended when I ask them not to smoke. This makes me very uncomfortable. I would be extremely grateful if management could make it clear to customers that smokers do have priority over non smoking customers on the outside terrace. Thank you
Solid brunch with amazing coffee and huevos rancheros. Atmosphere is pretty cozy and homey.
The food was good, the portions are just right, the hot chocolate was decadent, and the service was extremely friendly. Top notch!!
Yesterday I ordered the “Huevos Rancheros” for takeout. It says that it comes with beans, the beans were nonexistent. The tortillas were okay. The eggs and guacamole were good but I feel ripped off, especially because of the $1.50 fee and the amount of food that I got. It worth the &19 and change total. I wasn't going to say anything, but again I feel ripped off. I could've spent my moment at Ihop or somewhere else and I probably would've enjoyed the food.Yesterday I bought Huevos Rancheros to go. On the menu it says it comes with beans, but there were almost no beans. The tortillas were more or less. The eggs and guacamole were good. It doesn't seem fair to me to have to pay a mandatory fee of $1.50, they didn't provide much food. I feel like they scammed me, it's not worth paying &19 in total for the amount of food that I dieted on. I wasn't going to say anything but since I've been there before I feel like I was ripped off, I could have spent my money at IHOP or somewhere else and enjoyed the food.
Best food in Philly. Their Mexican mocha is a must and the owner is so nice.
